Day One: St. Louis
April 4th, 2007 by Tim Riley
Traffic has not been kind to us during the first two days of the trip—it took us over 8 hours to get from Ohio to St. Louis. Tonight, we OFFICIALLY started the Tour with our first game—St. Louis Cardinals vs. New York Mets. Unfortunately, due to how awesome the Cardinals are (World Series Champs), the game was completely sold out. Chris and I decided the best way to get tickets was wait outside the main entrance and hope that someone had extras they had to get rid of for little or no money. This was not the case. Fortunately for us, two Cardinals employees spotted us in the crowd looking hopelessly for tickets. They ended up giving us two extra tickets for free and thus made the first game possible. See below for the video taken right after we got into the park:

Hey guys, Kristen and I finally made it to your website (Thanks for name drops). Hopefully you guys are having fun and the rental car is holding up. We are wondering if the picture is gonna be posted. Let us know. Thanks.
Hey Brett! Unfortunately, the picture didn’t turn out — the person who “took” the picture of us didn’t actually take it. We didn’t realize it until after we got into the stadium that night. Sorry about that. But hey, feel free to send us a picture of you guys and we will post it in a new entry. Sorry about that. Thanks again for giving us tickets to the game.
